Well I hope you all had fun yesterday, but today we have another creative design for you. This site is brought to you by John O’Nolan, Japheth Thomson and Nicola Thompson. It has a very large and in-your face design but remains exceptionally easy to browse through with excellent uses of jquery.

When you visit lyrical media you are greeted with a huge, stylish vector graphic which instantly informs you of what the design of the site will be like. The overlaying text works and looks great, whilst you can’t help but to tilt you head right to read the vertical text on the left. Navigation is simple but looks great and keeps with the style.

I love how they have designed their portfolio page. A very simple two column layout but with great little features. For example, the highlighted text tends to draw your eyes to the left and then to the title of the first piece of work. Next you then see the link to the site. All this is complimented with great jquery when clicking the thumbnail. One watches in awe as the images unfold. My only point to raise here would be to dim the background when this occurs, giving extra focus to the image.

The site continues to impress with a great about and contact page. I especially like the layout of the services page and the five steps regarding what they do. A very nice design with great features. I have enjoyed browsing the site and using the fancy javascript. Great work to John, Japheth and Nicola.
I hoped you enjoyed reading this article. Stay tuned for next weeks creative design.
