Browsing through various websites I noticed that each have their own style, dark, bright, grid, columns or flash etc. There were a few websites that stood out for me. This was because they had used large images which give great first impressions. You instantly know what the site is about and in some cases it can lead you to browse through the rest of the site. Positioning is also important when including large images, if you get it wrong it can totally mess up your design.
