As my first CreativityDen post I’ve decided to show you all, (mainly beginners to CSS), how to use it effectively in you designs. One of the most frustrating things when coding a website can be not having the skills to bring your .PSD file to life, it happens to most of us, (unless your like me and you learnt to code first), but it doesn’t have to be that way anymore.

These methods are trial and error, not every effect works in every design, which is why not every well done site has drop shadow and rounded corners everywhere, so be careful when and where you use them.

What is typography?

Typography is the art of placing and arranging text according to the ambience or requirement. Use of typefaces is no longer restricted to just articles or media of similar kind. Typefaces are more like music notes. Each note strikes a tone to create a song. Typography in itself is a vast subject. There are many branches to typography. Contact form or mailto link?

Whilst visiting various websites it has come to my attention that only about half use contact forms. The websites that don’t instead supply a mailto link which then opens an email client. Why do some websites choose to use a mailto link rather than a contact form? Is it because they’re too lazy to design and code a contact form or is it because they feel contact forms are unnecessary when you have well developed and easy to use email clients such as gmail. I am sure there are various reasons to why websites choose to display a contact form or supply an email address, but in this article I will be telling you why contact forms are the way to go.
